Access Keys Available on all STARS Pages

To assist you in the use of STARS and in an attempt to make STARS more accessible, several access keys are available on every screen within the STARS system.

To use an access key, hold down the ALT key and press the key desired (ALT and SHIFT and desired key on Firefox 2.0 and higher, CTRL and desired key on a Macintosh).
S - Skip Navigation
Especially for text readers, this is a useful access key that will skip over the header information and menu items to the beginning of the information presented on the web page.
H - Help
Each page within the STARS site has a help link at the top of the header. This link (and this access key) will open a separate Help Window with information specific to the page being displayed.
O - Sign-off
When you are finished with your STARS session click on the Sign-off link at the top of the header (or use this access key) to Sign-off. (While using QuickLook, this access key returns you to the STARS Sign-on page.)
M - Menu
To jump to the drop down menu, use this access key. The menu shows all pages available to you on STARS.
X - Exit
During a QuickLook session, the exit key will close the STARS window.
C - Close
When a Help window is displayed within STARS, this access key will close the Help window returning you to your STARS session. When you sign-off of STARS, this access key will close the STARS window.

Access Keys Avaialbe on STARS Support Pages

The following access keys are available on most of the pages available from the STARS Launch Page including the STARS Help page, What's New on STARS, Enabling Javascript on STARS, Allowing STARS with pop-up blockers and this page describing available access keys. Other than the Skip Navigation key, none of these access keys are available within STARS.
S - Skip Navigation

K - Access Keys
To display a list of available access keys in the header, use the 'K' access key.
W - Return to WIU Home Page
Return to the WIU Home page at any time from the STARS support pages by using the 'W' access key.
A - Return to the STARS launch page
When viewing the STARS support pages, use the 'A' access key to return to the STARS launch page to start your STARS session.
T - Back to Top
Several of the support pages with lists have Back to Top links and access key to return to the top of the page.
